Acceptance Angle
The acceptance angle θa is the maximum deviation from the fiber axis at which light will go into the fiber. This is equivalent to the output angle of a cone of light from the fiber. The acceptance angle is defined by the numerical aperture (NA), where the angle in radians is approximately equal to the NA value.
